International Yoga Day

Yoga and mindfulness help to improve both physical and mental health in school-age children. Yoga teaches discipline and reduces impulsivity. Yoga can reduce challenging behaviors in the classroom by providing a physical outlet for children to express themselves. Improved balance, strength, endurance, and flexibility are all skills that kids can gain from a routine practice of yoga. Aside from physical health benefits, yoga can also have a huge impact on mindfulness and mental health. June 21 was celebrated as International Yoga Day. Our Pre-primary kids also enjoyed doing yoga and learnt simple poses.
